Domaine Guiberteau, Saumur Blanc Clos de Guichaux, 2009 New refined and seamlessly-textured100% Chenin Blanc. This Guiberteau vineyard is monopole of younger vine material grown on a clay limestone terroir that has only 30 cm of top soil and then pure chalky bedrock. The Clos de Guichaux is in Bizay, very near Brz and was planted with massale cuttings taken from the family's best old vines in Brz. This was done in the early 2000s. So far Romain has planted 1. 5ha of this three hectare Clos. The wine spent 10 months in two to four year old
